apple maps, google maps, etc.

September 22, 2019 by Edgar W. Perez

& we’re off! I can’t lie, my emotions in the past twenty minutes have gone from nervous, to overwhelmed, to doubtful, to slightly intrigued, & now I’m excited. quite honestly, i’m not sure how well this idea and this blog will be received by the people i’ll initially promote it to. you know how you tell your loved ones & the people closest to you that you’re thinking of acting on an idea & they’re all for it, but then you act on the idea & there isn’t an ounce of support from them? not even a word of feedback? I fear that. but this will reach the people it’s meant to.

I don’t know how you guys got here. whether you use Apple maps, Google maps, Waze, Mapquest — whatever navigates you, keep using that. the show is officially on the road & I couldn’t be more glad that you happened to be on this same road at this same time.

if you haven’t read the ‘Framework’ page — I go by ‘E.’ for the sake of simplicity & for the sake of sounding mysteriously cool, I would love to stick with ‘E.’ but i’m easy to find. my name is Edgar Wayne Perez. Wayne like Lil’ or Wayne like Bruce. the people nearest & dearest to me call me Eggs. Eggs like hard-boiled, not Eggs like scrambled.

as far as this blog - there is no area of expertise. i’m in my mid-20s. I want to be a doctor someday - i’m actively pursuing that. I journal quite frequently & i’ve enjoyed it so much that I want others to enjoy it as much as I do even if they don’t feel comfortable doing it themselves. so I guess that’s why we’re here. these entries could get super personal & just entertain you. they could highlight a topic I feel strongly about & you may find yourself agreeing or disagreeing. will you relate to everything that I write about? probably not. but I strongly believe that as a member of the youth in today’s society, there’s a lot that I can offer that you can relate to or that we can discuss. no matter how you identify, where you come from, where you are, where you’re going, or what you believe in.

I believe that at our core, most of us want to be good people. I also believe that at our core, most of us want to be socially accepted while we aim to reach our idea of a good person. & so, naturally, I believe this creates an internal warfare for every single one of us. but rather than going through that war alone, I invite you to step in when you have a second. & maybe, you’ll come to find that someone is fighting the same battle you are. & maybe you can learn from that soldier, or maybe you can fight with’em.

if you like how that sounds, come back soon. drop a comment. tell me who you are, even if it’s a single letter of the alphabet. if I do it, you should be allowed to as well. & if you want to be notified the next time we gather here for another (b)lesson, don’t forget to subscribe. I can’t tell you what we’ll be talking about next time you’re here, but I can assure you it’ll be a good, quick read.

welcome aboard.

all love - love always, E.
